Follow my Bears in their sightseeing tour of Brindleton Bay! I love this world!
I’m always lagging behind. I haven’t updated my Goldilocks and Bears for ages. Some awesome people nominated my blog for several magnificent awards, but I haven’t written the acceptations yet. Not because I’m ungrateful or neglect the nominations. I even have started working on the acceptations. But I’m so unforgivably slow! And being non native English speaker doesn’t make the writing easier.
In April I should have celebrated my first blogiversary. But I missed it. I was busy. And I was upset as I lost my beloved furry baby. Anyway – shame on me!
As for the Goldilocks and Bears – this story contains more pictures than words. That’s why I began having problems on the Sims 4 site, where the story first appeared. Having moved it to WordPress, I soon faced the problems again and decided to move my fairy tale to YouTube. The decision is quite hard – telling the same for the third time isn’t easy. And I keep thinking: Who needs that? Will anyone watch the same for the third time? And my head is always full of crazy projects, that also take time. I feel ashamed before my subscribers for not updating the story for ages. But I have first to move all the old parts and only after that make the new ones. Yes. I have to. I must! And I will! I promise.
Junior: “I didn’t get it! Is she going to continue our story?”
“She’s always getting away with excuses. Now she’s renovating her flat…”
“…now she’s building lots.”
Teddy: “Or she’s gardening.”
Junior: “Yes, she loves mowing the grass.”
“Instead of continuing our story this “YouTube star” is making films on vampires.”
Teddy: “She really rained on our parade.”
Junior: “Yes. Because of all these movings we lost our blogiversary.”
“We all will die before she tells our story.”
“I’m fed up with her. We are not her puppets!”
Teddy: “No, we aren’t. We are BEARS!”
Junior: “I have an idea.”
“And kill her!”
Me: “Come on, Bears! I’m terribly sorry! But I promise – I’ll do everything to…”
I’m sincerely appreciative to RosemaryMarie, whose Liev Capra nominated my Daddy Bear for the Edgar Evans Award. I’m also grateful to Edgar Evans by Judith, who started this honourable award.
Daddy Bear’s acceptance speech:
Dear ladies and gentlemen!
I’m really honoured to get such a significant reward as the Edgar Evans Community Service award.
First of all I’d like to thank Liev Capra – a caring son and husband, a wise and supportive father, who does a lot for society.
This award is so unexpected for me. Cough. My speech may sound awkward. Cough. Cough. Sorry. I’m a Bear, you know.
I’m feeling a bit dizzy about this situation: on the one hand I’m flattered. But on the other hand I’m a bit frightened: Do I deserve that? Having been to space several times I still didn’t reach the top of my astronauts career.
I just did all my best for my family and for my job. And I’m glad to have such great children and grandchildren. And my wonderful wife, who I love so much. Maybe the family is one of the most important things for the society.
I would like to nominate Charlie Rocca-Cups (created by Simmer CathyTea for her Sim Blog Wonder), who’s been a real wonder since his childhood. Not only has he created a club, where together with his friends can paint and meditate. He also decided to become a doctor to cure people.
If your sim has been nominated, please do the following:
1.Save a copy of the g:award photograph shown here.
2.Create a post on your blog showing the award.
3.On your post please include a photo of your sim along with his or her acceptance speech.
4.Link back to Jonathan Chronicles.

6.Nominate another sim and notify the simmer. Please provide these instructions.
I’m flattered and humbled as my blog has been nominated for Spirit Animal Award. I want to say huge thank you to wonderful bloggers who nominated me:
Mastress Alita – you should check (if you haven’t yet) her wonderful Sim Stories. I adore her The Cat Chronicles – a diary written by Shadow the cat – funny and moving at the same time;
Persefona711, whose dramatic PARENTCY CHALLENGE keeps you astir with the life of Judith Moore – single mother struggling for her happiness;
Trip, whose mystic Eight Cicadas tell you how important it is to understand people surrounding you;
cathytea, whose SimLit Anthology is full of extraordinary stories. You can’t remain indifferent reading these stories, which make you think.
Spirit Animal Blog Award Acceptance Rules:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you, and link back to their page.
2. Post the award picture on your blog.
3. Write a short paragraph about yourself and what your blog means to you.
4. If you could be any animal, what would it be?
5. Pick and notify ten nominees.
I’m a happy mom of a daughter and a son and even a happier granny of a grandson and a granddaughter. I come from Russia.
Where snow lies everywhere, even in microwaves. Where bears are kept as pets. Where all people – including women and babies – wear bushy beards. Joke of course, though some people believe that’s true.
My online friends call me Chelsea. It’s a real name. But not mine – my favourite cat’s. (You can usually see her as my avatar.) I’m still not ready to tell my own name – I’m rather shy, though I try to fight against that.
The most important for me is my family. Happy Family is my life goal.
Besides, I’m a crazy cat lady. My husband and me have six furbabies in our flat now and feed even more stray cats living in our neighbourhood.
My other diagnosis is Simfluenza – an untreatable disease I caught many years ago. I won’t write more about that or I won’t be able to stop. 😉
I enjoy creating sims and houses, writing stories and making videos on YouTube.
I also like reading, watching films and listening to music – different music: from Tchaikovsky to The Beatles, from Rammstein to Alexander Rybak. I can’t tell you what kind of music I like. I like good music. – What is “good music”? – The music I like. LOL
And I adore travelling. If only I could, I would travel to Italy and to Australia, to Paris, where I’ve never been, and to London, where I’ve been twice… To cut myself off, let’s say I would travel all over the world. (Including Russia of course – I haven’t visited all the wonderful places of my motherland.)
What my blog means to me:
My blog is now mainly the story “Goldilocks and Bears”. (I’m planning to add more categories, but… so many plans, so little time!)
I’ve always loved dressing my sims as animals. In the Sims2 I had The Gorillaz and The Cows families. However, I wasn’t satisfied as there weren’t costumes for all ages. So my Cows were llamas at university and evolved to humans at the old age.
I tried to make The Cats in the Sims 3 using CC, but got a lot of bad CC. I wasn’t glad again.
Only The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat made me happy providing bear suits for all ages. My first thought was to make a family from the fairy tale. That is how Goldilocks and the Bears “were born”. Btw, in Russian version this fairy tale is called “Masha and Bears”, so the girl in my family is called Masha Goldilocks. I built a cottage for them and, to show off the family and the house, began publishing pictures with captions in Russian Activity. When I had loads of them, I decided to start a story on the Russian forums. And later the English version appeared (which I moved to WP recently).
One of the first comments I got there was “What is this?”. So what is this? A weird mixture of the fairy tale, loads of screenshots and accounts of achievements. Maybe I’m an awkward writer, but the more I play with my Bears, the more I fall in love with them. I’m even afraid of getting pygmalionia. LOL
If you could be any animal, what would it be?
Nope. Though I do love bears. And wolves. And owls. And dolphins. And many other animals (even spiders).
But my favourites have always been CATS.
My granny had cats. And my mom had cats. As soon as my hubby and me started our family, we adopted a stray kitten. So, I can say that I was raised by cats.
My feline features:
I’m independant. I don’t like rules. That’s why I don’t play challenges. On the other hand, who knows? I can break my own no_challenges rule and start some ISBI one day. 😉
I hate being under the command – I’m rather stubborn. And my own opinion doesn’t always follow majority.
I’m not a party animal. I prefer staying at my comfortable flat to going to some clubs. I’m not afraid of being alone, provided I know that my nearest and dearest are safe and well.
I’m very curious and that’s sometimes dangerous.
Like cats I’m myopic. Though I can’t see in darkness. I can’t see 25 shades of grey (like cats), but I can see 25 shades of blue. LOL
It wasn’t easy to make the list, as many blogs, I would like to put here, are already nominated. Fortunately, Mastress Alita has wonderful threads such as Monthly Story and Legacy Shoutouts and Weekly Reading Roundup, which helped me find more awesome stories. However, having finished the list, I discovered that some icluded blogs have already got Spirit Animal Award, so I had to edit. Maybe some other stories from my list also got the nomination before, but…
*pretending to be invisible* … I know nothing about that.
So, here’s my list (in alphabetical order):
Beauty by Daijahv – a breathtaking narrative with stunning screenshots, which I’ve read at once – from the beginning till the end.
Dim Sims in the City: An ISBI by pammiechick – this awesome legacy made me laugh till I cried.
Dust to Dust by CitizenErased14 – a gripping story of love that is mightier than death.
Idiot+Insane+Crazy= Idanezy by BLAMSART – a hilarious tale where not only mailboxes and waffles but even popups have the right to speak.
Insanity Family: The Kook Family Backwards ISBI by MichelleLynn01 – another funny legacy that will amuse you a lot.
Once Upon a Legacy by Socallucyfan – I really enjoyed fascinating adventures of Cindy Rella (Oh! And Lucifur, the cat 😉 ).
Pet Masters by jbfairybird How could I miss this wonderful story full of kitties? 😉
Shrektastic by Colorist40 – An unusual way to tell the story of Shrek and Fiona is definitely captivating.
Surreal Darkness by MedleyMisty – I was charmed by the bewitching suppernatural poetry of the story.
The Fairy Tale Reader by Marialein – I was moved to tears by Sera, a teen in an orphanage, and the way he retells well known fairy tales to other children.
So, if you still haven’t read the stories above, I strongly recommend you to check them. You won’t regret.
Wow! More than 1200 words! I’ve beaten all my own records! 😀 Now I wonder whether anyone would read this “War and Peace”. 😛
The Bears are having a Weenie Roast in the park “Blue Wave”.
Cathy Tea. Whereever I meet her, she is playing chess.
Baby is with her magic clay, as usually.
Junior is telling a story about pirate’s parrot.
Freddy is playing the guitar while the others are roasting sausages.
Some homeless Sixamian comes by. The Bears aren’t mean – they treat the ET to hot dogs.
But the alien is too hungry. So he’s filching Teddy’s hot dogs.
How nice that there is a shower in the park where the homeless can wash themselves!
We got silver for the party – no one could play the violin by the fire. As they didn’t have a violin in their pockets.
At the end of the party Anna’s gone into labor.
Baby: “Anna, you look like you’ve been rummaging through garbage cans.”
Anna: “Yes, I need a shower.”
Straight from the party Anna and Freddy go to hospital, where nurse Astra and surgeon Andy Cat are waiting for them.
Anna makes her way to operating room.
Freddy rushes headlong after her.
It can’t do without heart amputation this time.
Freddy: “I’d better watch “The Walking Dead”. To calm down.”
All’s well that ends well.
Meet Daniel Bear.
Anna: “Where’s my son?!”
Don’t worry, Anna. Daniel’s at home.
Another Weenie Roast in Willow Creek. And again – silver.
Lin Goth is playing pirates in the park.
Junior is telling a fairy tale: “Once upon a time Knight of the Red Feather…”
“…met a frog in a crown.”
“He waved his magic wand…”
“…and took away her crown.”
“And don’t dare to say that you don’t like my story.”
The party is going on.
Daddy Bear calls to congratulate on making a new friend.
Then Bernard congratulates Freddy on the new addition to the family.
And here it is! Gold medal!
Baby: “That’s because of magic clay!”
Another party at the Bears’.
Katty is back from work. Diamond Agent (Level 10).
While everyone is having fun, Katty is watering the plants in the garden. And another aspiration is achieved.
The house party gets silver. That suits us at this stage.
One more party at Ophelia Villa.
The Goths’ seem to regret not living in a stronghold.
Grace gets a job. As a musician of course. Yuri Ivanov congratulates her urgently.
Daddy Bear looks angry these days.
Maybe it’s because Teddy manages to be the first to feed little Daniel?
To be continued…
Our Bears are having parties. Yes, yes -again!
Freddy: “What’s up?.. What are they all doin now?”
Teddy: “Take heart, bro. We’re going to joke about penguins again.
“Why so many parties?
Well, to complete Party Animal aspiration for one sim, you need (at the very minimum!) twenty three parties.
It’s only on condition that everything goes perfect. But it’s not always perfect.
By the way, black and white rooms are great for black and white parties. 😉
* * * * * * * * * * *
Hey, guys! “Spooky” doesnt mean “ugly”!
Anna! Are you going to dig the garden?! Off to CAS!
That’s much better. 🙂
Anna: “Meh, I’d better weed the plants.”
Brother Foxes are going by the café.
Alan – the leader of Mafia. (His father Bazil is already dead.)
Ginger Fox. Look at him! The well must have helped him with the promotion! Ah those Foxes! In a word, – mafia!
Alan: “Well, bro, have you found who froze Roger Rabbit?”
Ginger: “We’re searching.”
And this is Mr Cvetkov. (The name’s given by the game.)
He’s extremely serious. He even puts on a hat when going to swim.
Mr Cvetkov inspects café “Sweet Doves”.
“Don’t worry, Mr Cvetkov! We don’t have any problems with electricity.”
Speed pumpkin carving.
I like ninja Junior so much! 😀 I would make him my avatar, but my cat Chelsea won’t approve I’m afraid.
The party is going fine.
Though it can’t go without some Star Wars.
Kitty, make a wish! You’re sitting between two astronauts. 😉
The costume of a pirate suits Ginger Fox well.
Baby gets old. 😦 I know that sounds silly – she’s just some pixels on the screen. But when I see her thin body , I get a lump in my throat. 😥
Jolly Roger and his witch.
And a parrot on the shoulder for greater show.
The party was drawing to a close, when Goldilocks got a message from her daughter Lilly, who was standing side by side. Lilly invited her mother to Goldilocks’s own house.
Goldilocks: “Well, you are a one, Lilly!”
No sooner has Ann come home, than she goes to troll teh forums. What can I do? She’s a witch!
And filibuster Fred is searching Treasure Island.
I lost sight of Anna and didn’t see the moment she achieved her aspiration. I failed to take a photo.
But then Freddy and Junior supplied me with colourful pictures.
To be continued…
It’s Astra’s birthday today. And the Bears gather at “Sweet Doves”.
A lot of guests come to the party.
Antony and Aellitta.
Husband and wife are joined in a single unit.
Goldilocks is playing the violin.
“The Bear went over the mountain
The Bear went over the mountain
The Bear went over the mountain
To see what he could see…”
Freddy discovered another “elaborately disguised” alien. And got angry.
Time to make a wish.
What is your wish, Astra?
Astra: “I won’t tell you. Or it won’t come true.”
Having returned from the party, Aellitta Zed realized that she forgot to congratulate the birthday girl. So she texted Astra:
* * * * * * * * * * *
Dorian asked Astra out on a date. Like any girl, Astra is late.
Dorian (dreaming of his first WooHoo): “Now we are adults and can marry.”
Astra: “Yes. And we’ll have a lot of children.”
Astra: “Then our children marry. And we’ll have a lot of grandchildren.”
Astra: “And when our grandchildren marry we’ll have a lot of great-grandchildren.”
Dorian, what are you looking for?
Dorian: “I’ve lost my temper.”
* * * * * * * * * * *
The wedding is in the same café.
Baby got a day off to go to the wedding.
Thank goodness! The bride’s NOT in black.
Freddy, invited as a pianist, is playing the guitar instead. (I should have checked his pockets!)
In the end, we persuaded him to play the piano.
Matthew, what have you lost?
Matthew: “Nespresso. What else?”
Here’s your Nespresso – next to Gregory’s chair.
* * * * * * * * * * *
Astra moved to the Landgraabs.
Freddy and Anna take the opportunity.
You can watch my sims having fun in the café in this video.
